Can I come out and visit the farm?
We hold special farm tours by appointment for your group (call to schedule) or drop by for a casual visit Monday through Saturday. We are located at 25362 High Pass Road, Junction City, OR 97448,
Are you certified organic?
All of our beef is Oregon Tilth certified organic. We also produce Oregon Tilth certified organic eggs from our pastured laying hens. Our other products, including pork, lamb, chicken, turkeys, and Creamy Cow dairy are not certified organic.
We strive to maintain the health of the land and animals by avoiding unnatural chemicals, fertilizers, or antibiotics, but we do not pursue an organic label without considering all of the factors involved. And these include biodiversity, ecology, animal welfare, and the needs of our customers and employees.
We also place an emphasis on complete transparency. You can ask us directly about how we raise our animals and we are happy to share that information with you. We also invite you to visit our farm to see in-person how our animals are raised and cared for. We love visitors, so please call or email to arrange a visit to Deck Family Farm at your convenience.
Is your milk A1 or A2?
We are in the process of having our herd tested. Each test is $45 per cow and the test is done is UC Davis in California. We do not have any cow distinguished at this time for A1 or A2. Many of our cows in our herd do have an A2 sire.
