Weather Underground Excellent basic site. Anyplace weather. You can create a list of favorite cities. OR Road Cams - TripCheck Camera views for roads all over the state, updated @ few minutes. Also road situations, delays, warnings, etc.

Soil Survey -- NRCS Soils: Database of NRCS County Soil Maps & data. Not particularly easy to use.

FIS -- Forage Information Service: David Hannaway's massive database of forages, courses, personnel, companies, fact sheets, etc. A FIRST place to look for forage info. Many linkages.
USDA Plants Database: One of the best ebsites for plants anywhere! A first place to look for specific info, with lots of critical linkages. Good photos for ID. Lists regulatory issues also.
CalPhotos Plants: Common Names [W]: Excellent site for plant photos and pictures.
Toxic Plant Database - Vet Med Library, UIUC: Comprehensive info on toxic plants, especially from the agronomic perspective.
Forage System Research Center -- Linneus, MO: Jim Gerrish's old research institution. Contains documents of current research, some grazing articles, upcoming Missouri forage events.
Noxious Weeds in the US and Canada: Univ. Montana site for weeds. Good starting place.
Stockman Grass Farmer Magazine: Home page of SGF. Has archives of some old articles, espcially the publisher's columns.

Vet Consultant - Cornell -- EXCELLENT: Interesting diagnosis tool. Can be very useful and also a good reference.
NRSP-7, Approved Drugs for Minor Species: Minor Use Minor Species (MUMS) -- drugs officially approved for sheep, goats, etc.
FDA Approved Drugs -- Animals: Searchable database of FDA approved drugs for livestock.
CDC - Centers for Disease Control: Mostly human medicine -- very useful when needed. Good site for current info on things like bird flu, vCJD, etc.

Google News: An amazing news site, fully-automated, updated every few minutes. Customizable.
Yahoo! News: Breaking news, current events, the latest headlines, news photos, analysis & opinion on top stories, world, business, politics, entertainment, sports, technology, and more.
Economist: Sophisticated European perspective on many topics, not just financial. Like Time magazine with intelligent articles.
AgWeb - Ag News -- Searchable: Current Ag news. Very good.
USDA.gov - Latest News Releases: Official news releases, USDA. May be useful for some situations.

Yahoo! People Search: Good place to find people.
WhitePages- Reverse Phone: Can do reverse lookups for phone numbers and addresses.

Thesaurus.com: Synonyms. Lots and lots and lots of synonyms. Very very good.
Wikipedia: The best general online encyclopedia. Lookup anything. Plus useful linkages to reference documents and relevant websites.
Google-Scholar: Google for professional & scientific papers. Very good. Will pull up linkages to scientific journal articles or abstracts, and other documents.
Highwire: Stanford University's extensive database of hundreds of scientific journals. Including the latest issues. All abstracts and many full articles are free.
OSU Library: Portal to OSU Valley Library
Yahoo: Prices-Reviews: Good site to find prices & reviews of most things for sale. Sometimes will give very useful relevant linkages.
Google Groups: Astonishing database of all the billions of entries in Internet discussion groups. Very powerful advanced sort capabilities. Good for finding personal comments, complaints, product reviews, experiences, techniques, etc. Reader beware -- these entries are not referreed!
Google-Maps-Local: Find anywhere. Maps & satallite images. Not in real-time, but still excellent. Superb for locating businesses, motels, etc. Best with a broadband connection.
Internet Movie Database: The best movie database on the Internet. Find anything, including many TV shows. Beware -- you can get lost in this site for hours.
